Production calendar for 2019

Article 68 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2015 (hereinafter - the Code) provides that the normal working time should not exceed 40 hours per week.

The employment contract may provide for shorter working hours with payment as for normal working hours.

The Code also provides for the establishment of a reduced working time for certain categories of workers:

for workers between the ages of fourteen and sixteen - no more than 24 hours per week (Article 69 of the Code);

for workers between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years - no more than 36 hours per week (Article 69 of the Code);

for workers engaged in heavy work, work with harmful and (or) hazardous working conditions - no more than 36 hours per week according to the list of industries, workshops, professions and positions, the list of hard work, work with hazardous and (or) dangerous working conditions ( Article 69 of the Code);

for workers with disabilities of the first and second groups - no more than 36 hours per week (Article 69 of the Code).

In accordance with article 79 of the Code, organizations must keep track of working time actually worked by the employee.

With a five-day working week, the duration of daily work (work shift) may not exceed 8 hours at a weekly rate of 40 hours, 7 hours and 12 minutes at a weekly rate of 36 hours; with a six-day working week, the duration of daily work (work shift) cannot exceed: for workers with a weekly working time of 40 hours, 7 hours; at the weekly rate of 36 hours - 6 hours, etc.

In this regard, the working time is:

With a 40-hour work week:

with a five-day working week - five working days of 8 hours;

with a six-day working week - five working days of 7 hours and one working day of 5 hours.

With a 36-hour working week:

with a five-day working week - five working days at 7 hours and 12 minutes (7.20 hours);

with a six-day working week - six working days of 6 hours.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 13, 2001 No. 267 “On Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan” (hereinafter the Law), days on which national and state holidays are celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan are recognized as holidays in accordance with the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan are non-working days.

When a holiday and a holiday coincide, the day off is the next working day after the holiday.

Holidays celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan:

National holiday:

Independence Day - December 16 - 17;

State holidays:

New Year - January 1-2;

International Women's Day - March 8;

Nauryz - March 21-23;

The holiday of the unity of the people of Kazakhstan - May 1;

Defender of the Fatherland Day - May 7;

Victory Day - May 9;

Capital Day - July 6;

Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan - August 30;

Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - December 1.

In this connection, in drawing up the balance of working time in 2019, taking into account the norms of the Law, holidays that coincide with weekends (Saturday, Sunday) are postponed to the next working day:

at five days:

from March 23 to March 25;

from July 6 to July 8;

from December 1 to December 2.

at six days:

from December 1 to December 2.

In accordance with article 84 of the Code, with a five-day and six-day working week, the general day off is Sunday.

The second day off during the five-day workweek is established by a collective agreement or work schedule.

The first day of Kurban-ayt celebrated on the Muslim calendar, January 7 - Orthodox Christmas are days off.

In 2019, the first day of Kurban Ait is on August 11.

In the production calendar, the norm of working time for months, quarters and 2019 as a whole in working days (hours) is given. It is calculated on a five-day and six-day working week calendar, based on an eight-, seven- and six-hour working day with a 40-hour and 36-hour working week.

In 2019, the norm of working time is:

at 40-hour work week:

five days - 1968 hours (246 days * 8.00 hours);

six days - 1986 hours (248 days * 7.00 hours + 50 days * 5.00 hours);

at 36-hour work week:

five days - 1771.2 hours (246 days * 7.20 hours);

six days - 1788 hours (298 days * 6.00 hours)

The average monthly number of working days for 2019 is:

with a five-day working week - 20.50 days;

with a six-day working week - 24.83 days.

The average monthly number of calendar days for 2019 is 29.25 (excluding holidays, established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
