On November 27, 2015 in Semey city the roundtable devoted to issues of social support, medical care of the citizens affected by nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk test site took place

          On November 27, 2015 according to the Plan of measures on informational support of an initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nazarbayev N. A. on the implementation of the Atom Project announced at the International Conference "From a Nuclear Test Ban to the Nuclear-Weapon-Free World" in Semey city took place the roundtable devoted to issues of social support, medical care of the citizens affected by nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk test site.

         Representatives of Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akimat of Semey city, employees of Scientific-Research Institute of Radiation Medicine and Ecology, representatives of Public Associations, including "Nevada-Semipalatinsk" movement, "Generations" Public Association of Semipalatinsk city, Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the East Kazakhstan region, representatives of labor unions of educators of Semey city took part in work of the roundtable.

          During the roundtable have been considered issues of social support, medical care of the citizens affected by nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk test site, results of the retrospective and prospective analysis of medical and radio ecological consequences of the former Semipalatinsk Test Site for the population for 2014-2015. By results of the roundtable participants drafted a proposal on improvement of the legislation on social protection of the citizens affected by nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk test site.
