In Kazakhstan a list of the professions the working day of which is less than eight hours does not exist.
In the Ministry of Health and Social Development RK clarified who could work for less than eight hours a day.
In Kazakhstan, as they reported to correspondent MIA Kazinform in the ministry, a list of the professions the working day of which is less than eight hours does not exist.
At the same time in accordance with article 69 of the Code for employees who did not reach eighteen-year age redu ced duration of work time is set for employees in the age from 14 to 16 years (not more than 24 hours a week) and 16-18 years (not more than 36 hours a week).
For employees involved in hard works, works with harmful and/or dangerous working conditions, set the redu ced duration of work time not more than 36 hours a week. Set redu ced duration of work time is disseminating to the employees labor of whom in severe, harmful and/or dangerous conditions is confirmed by results of certification of produ ction facilities based on the working conditions.
Redu ced duration of work time – not more than 36 hours a week – is determined to the employees with disabilities of the first group and second group. The duration of a daily work (work shift) of employees with disabilities of the first group and second group can not exceed seven hours.
Explaining legislative aspects, they remind in MHSD in accordance with the Labour code the five-day week or the six-day working week are set by an employer in accordance with terms and conditions of an employment contract and collective contract or an employer's act. The duration of a daily work can not exceed 8 hours with an exception of cases provided by the present Code and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
