In the framework of the International children's day on June 1 in organizations of primary medical-sanitary assistance in the country will hold open days for young patients with involvement of specialized professionals (pediatricians, neurologists, endocrinologists, oculists, surgeons, orthopedists, cardiologists, nephrologists, immunologists, specialists in integrated management of childhood illnesses, etc.), with measurement of body mass by Quetelet, growth, blood pressure, vision test etc. On this day, for expectant mothers will hold seminars on supporting breastfeeding on theme "10 principles of breastfeeding." In the offices of a healthy child for children and parents of preschoolers will be organized immunization activities, healthy eating, personal hygiene, and medical offices - posts for inspection of schoolchildren for lice, scabies with accepting  follow-up measures and etc. In 2016 all the activities aimed at raising public awareness about the strengthening and preservation of health of children from an early age, the skills of personal and public health, fostering health-saving skills in children and adolescents, promoting healthy eating and physical activity will take place under the motto "Children's smile is the best reward!". Health safety of the younger generation is important strategic task of the state, as the foundation for the health of the adult population of the country was laid in childhood. When teenagers are on the threshold of adulthood, they are faced with new choices and health risks.  The danger to their health is the consumption of alcohol, drugs and tobacco, injury, including resulting from road traffic accidents.  The leading risk factors of non-communicable diseases are considered to be overweight and obesity of varying severity and improper diet, including excess consumption of saturated fat, TRANS fat, sugar and salt (more than 5 g/day), insufficient consumption of vegetables and fruits. According to the National center of HLS, in Kazakhstan in 2015 the prevalence of overweight among children 9 years of age were 12.3%, obesity were 6.3%. Improper nutrition at school age increases the risk of cardiovascular and oncological diseases, overweight and obesity, diabetes in adulthood, leads to premature disability and reduced life expectancy. Proper nutrition, immunization against infectious diseases and the creation of enabling environment conducive to safety and physical activity of children is the basis for the formation of good health. We remind, the International children's day is celebrated on the first day of summer since 1950.
