Health safety of the younger generation is important strategic task of the state, as the foundation for the health of the adult population of the country was laid in childhood. When teenagers are on the threshold of adulthood, they are faced with new choices and health risks. The danger to their health is the consumption of alcohol, drugs and tobacco, injury, including resulting from road traffic accidents. The leading risk factors of non-communicable diseases are considered to be overweight and obesity of varying severity and improper diet, including excess consumption of saturated fat, TRANS fat, sugar and salt (more than 5 g/day), insufficient consumption of vegetables and fruits. According to the National center of HLS, in Kazakhstan in 2015 the prevalence of overweight among children 9 years of age were 12.3%, obesity were 6.3%. Improper nutrition at school age increases the risk of cardiovascular and oncological diseases, overweight and obesity, diabetes in adulthood, leads to premature disability and reduced life expectancy. Proper nutrition, immunization against infectious diseases and the creation of enabling environment conducive to safety and physical activity of children is the basis for the formation of good health. We remind, the International children's day is celebrated on the first day of summer since 1950.
