Over the past 11 years (from 2003 to 2015) the amount of the lump sum on a birth of the child, depending on the number of children in the family, increased by more than 7.8 times (from 13 thousand KZT 177 to 103 758 thousand tenge).
This measure of social support positively influenced the increase in the birth rate in the country. Therefore, since the introduction of the above benefits now the birth rate has increased by 60%. Thus, the coverage of this type of benefits increased 2.5 times.
Since 2006, Kazakhstan has introduced an allowance for childcare up to one year for unemployed women. In the period from 2006 to 2015 the average size of this benefit has increased 3.7 times (at first birth - from 3 thousand 90 m to 11 417 thousand tenge, for the second - 3 thousand KZT 605 to 13 498 thousand tenge for the third with 4 120 thousand tenge 15 thousand to tenge 559). On the fourth and subsequent children allowance increased 3.8 times from 4 thousand tenge to 635 17 640 thousand tenge.
In the period from 2010 to 2015 the average benefit to persons bringing up invalids child, increased 1.5 times from 14 952 thousand tenge to 22 433 thousand tenge.
In addition, for the support of families (persons) who are in difficult life situation, shall be paid by the state targeted social assistance for each family member. From 2002 to 2015 the average size of the allowance increased 2.7 times (from 816 to 2 179 thousand tenge).
In Kazakhstan since 1999 by the payment of special state benefits (further - SGP) for 20 categories of citizens, including participants and invalids of the great Patriotic war and persons equated to them, mothers with many children and families, invalids of all groups, etc. Over the last 17 years the average size of the SGP has increased by 7 times from 926 tenge up to 6 474 thousand tenge.
The size of these benefits are indexed annually to reflect changes in the monthly settlement indicator (MSI). In 2016, MSI was 2 121 thousand tenge.
