Today during the meeting with the Minister of health and social development of Kazakhstan Tamara Duysenova Director of communications Department of National center for coordination of organ donation and transplantation USA Margaret Rogers gave a high evaluation to the development of Transplantology in Kazakhstan.
She noted that in a short period of time Kazakhstan has introduced modern types of medical care, which allow transplant of organs in accordance with international standards and built a system of transplant coordination.
However, Margaret Rogers recommended build system for allocation of donor organs to those in need on the principle of "on goes the patient."
In turn Tamara Duysenova informed the expert from the United States that Kazakhstan introduced a unified register of donors, recipients and persons awaiting organ transplants.
At the end of the meeting, the head MSSR RK asked Margaret Rogers to share the experience of the United States for the payment of services for the transplantation of organs to all stakeholders (donor hospitals, transplant centers and medical organizations, which are implementing rehabilitation patients).
Recall, from 2012 to October 2016 in Kazakhstan held 1011 organ transplants from living-related and posthumous donors. Among them: kidney – 793, liver, – 170, heart – 41, light – 5, pancreas - 2. Also conducted 41 the transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells in children.
