Today in Astana began a five-day workshop for clinical pharmacologists, and representatives of departments of health regions, Astana and Almaty on the topic "Role of clinical pharmacology to improve the quality of medical care" with the participation of the acting Chairman of the Committee monitoring the medical and pharmaceutical activity of the health Ministry of Kazakhstan Larisa Pak and the chief clinical pharmacologist of the RK Sholpan Kalieva.
At the beginning of his speech, Larisa Pak said that medicinal maintenance of the population of the Republic is one of the most important tasks of the state and the development of the pharmaceutical sector is of strategic, social and economic importance for the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Every year more than two million Kazakhstan citizens are provided with medicines within the guaranteed volume of free medical care at outpatient level for 49 diseases, more than 400 names of medicines. In 2015, the funding for outpatient drug coverage amounted to 85 billion tenge.
"The volume of pharmaceutical market of Kazakhstan for the last 10 years increased more than 3 times (in 2005 monetary terms was $ 465,3 million U.S. dollars, in real terms – 356,2 million packages) and has now reached more than $ 1.8 billion. Operates the information system of drug supply on the outpatient level, which provides transparency of the process. Kazakhstan established the national drug formulary; work the drug information centre acquired mobile Express laboratories for the detection of counterfeit and adulterated medications.
"On November 16 countries of the Eurasian economic Union (hereinafter EAEC) have agreed to establish a common market of medicines. Uniform and transparent norms prescribed in the documents will allow the elimination of unnecessary trade barriers within the EEU, reduce costs and increase competition, which in turn will positively affect the quality and cost of medicines", - said Larisa Pak.
The seminar will discuss the training of clinical pharmacologists and their activities in health care organizations, rational use of medicines and improve the quality of treatment results.
Recall that one of the directions of the state Program of development of health of Kazakhstan "Densaulyk" for the years 2016-2019 is to implement the National drug policy and availability of medicines and medical products.
