In Kazakhstan over the last 7 years, mortality from acute myocardial infarction decreased in 1.8 times, with 3 thousand 476 people in 2009 to 1 thousand 876 people in 2015. The mortality rate for 10 months of 2016 made up of 12.18 per 100 thousand population, which is 12.1% lower than the same period last year (over 10 months. 2015 – of 13.86).

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. According to the world health organization, annually due to heart attacks and strokes die 17.1 million. Increasingly, they are being diagnosed in young people. The main risk factors are unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, tobacco use and alcohol. 

To reduce mortality from cardiovascular diseases in Kazakhstan in the framework of the state Program of healthcare development "Densaulyk" for the years 2016-2019 introduced the integrated model of medical care for 5 major diseases that significantly affect the demographics of the population, including in acute myocardial infarction. 

Today in each area to provide the full range of services: prevention, curative measures, including rehabilitation, clinical supervision, medical and social services. 

Created 5 coordinating councils, which coordinate the work of departments of health regions, Astana and Almaty cities, national and regional medical organizations and monitor the implementation of measures in the framework of the implementation of the roadmap for the implementation of integrated models of care
