In 2016, 626 children with various neuropsychiatric disorders, brought up in boarding schools returned to their families. This became possible thanks to close cooperation between the state and NGO in the sphere of rendering special social services.
The placement of the state order for the provision of spectacular for persons in difficult situations, helped to attract this market of more than 100 NGO and significantly increase the accessibility of these services.
"First, the citizens have the opportunity to choose where to get service in the public sector or non-governmental organizations. Second, thanks to a joint partnership with NGO, we were able to eliminate queues in the children's psychoneurological house-boarding schools, and to ensure the provision of services to victims of violence. Thirdly, the result of this work, 626 children from orphanages back into families and 693 mothers of such children were employed. This was made possible thanks to the opening of branches of day stay for children with psychoneurological disorders," - says the Director of the Department of social services of the Ministry Aigul Tagbergenova.
In 2016, NGO have provided special social services 6.3 thousand people. They include the elderly, persons with disabilities, including children with disabilities and persons with psycho-neurological diseases, victims of human trafficking.
