Today, the building of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of Vice-Minister of labor and social protection of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov in the framework of the fifth world Kurultai of Kazakhs held a round table on the theme "the Diaspora of Kazakhs abroad: social image of ethnic migration and relevant issues of adaptation".
The round table was attended by representatives of the Central state and local Executive bodies, the world Association of Kazakhs, the Assembly of peoples of Kazakhstan, international and public organizations, mass media, and delegates to the fifth world Kurultai of Kazakhs.
The round table discussed new approaches to regulation of migration processes provided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on migration and employment".
To encourage return of ethnic Kazakhs to their historical homeland, the bill provides for the granting of repatriate status, regardless of the region of settlement, the possibility of receiving the social package in the framework of active measures to promote employment, in the case of resettlement in the regions identified by the Government and receiving citizenship of the oralman of Kazakhstan within one year after receiving their residence permit.
Vice-Minister of labor and social protection recalled that in order to stimulate labor mobility, the Government of Kazakhstan has identified 7 regions for the reception of migrants, including repatriates (Akmola, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan region), and 4 of the region of departure (Almaty, Zhambyl, Mangystau and South Kazakhstan region). Willing to relocate to the above mentioned regions will get subsidies for relocation and the costs of rental housing within one year.
"Those who moved to regions that are defined by the Government, all efforts to create conditions: first, will continue the payment in the form of a 35 MCI for each family member. Secondly, for rental housing to each family will be paid the amount in the range of 34-68 thousand tenge per month. If you are moving to the countryside in the Northern regions of the country where the housing prices are affordable, there are plans to transfer from the annual rent. The hcsb, in turn, is willing to offer incentives for immigrants to purchase housing" - summed up Birzhan Nurymbetov.
The event continued with exchange of views among participants on topical issues of ethnic migration.
