In Astana and Almaty, a new methodology for the development of professional standards was taught. Trainings and certification passed more than 70 developers.
The methodology was developed by Ernst & Young in the framework of the project "Development of labor skills and stimulation of jobs", implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Until June 2020 it is planned to develop and approve 550 professional standards.
"Professional standards are an integral part of the National Qualifications Framework, which will help the state achieve such goals as employee training, recognition of their formal and informal skills obtained in educational institutions, and at various courses and directly in the work process. The result of the introduction of professional standards and a system of qualifications will be the saturation of the labor market with demanded personnel, "said Nurken Tleuov, director of the Labor and Social Partnership Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To develop professional standards, certified developers will start this year. However, the standards will not be static - authorized organizations will review and update them at least once every three years. The basis for mandatory revision and replacement of the developed standards will be such conditions as changing the organization, the specifics and structure of production, the introduction of new technologies that entailed a change in the content of labor functions, competencies and skills of employees.
