In the oblast, a large-scale awareness-raising campaign is being carried out to introduce targeted social assistance for the new format, the main principles for the modernization of the pension reform.
The project "Social Express" was created to inform the public about the forthcoming changes in the social and labor sphere and is aimed at working in the most remote settlements of the region.
As part of the mobile service, the specialists of the Department of the Committee for Labor, Social Protection and Migration, the Office for Coordinating Employment and Social Programs, the Employment Center and others.
In the course of the work, the specialists visited over 20 remote settlements, such as Nogayty, Turysh, Akzhigit. On an individual basis, members of the mobile group are given advice on how to arrange social benefits.
In general, this year, during the implementation of the "Arrow" project in Mangistau oblast, more than 411 families or about 2,200 people are involved in the program. Conditional cash assistance was provided for a total of more than KZT97.5 million.
These measures allowed to increase the average per capita income of needy citizens by 3.5 times.
Earlier in the course of the working trip to the regions, visiting one of the regional centers of the Karaganda region, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duissenova stressed that the main participants of the TSA are residents of rural districts and district centers. In this regard, outreach should be organized everywhere, regardless of the remoteness of settlements.
Recall, from January 1, 2018 introduced a set of measures aimed at modernizing the social and labor sphere. They proceed from 100 concrete steps of the Plan of the Nation and are implemented in fulfillment of the instructions of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev, voiced in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan this year.
So, from January 1, 2018 targeted social assistance will be provided in a new format in two types - unconditional and conditional, to families with incomes below 50% of the subsistence minimum for each family member, subject to the conclusion of a social contract.
From January 1, the structure of the subsistence level will be changed. To date, its value is 24,459 tenge. The change in structure will increase the subsistence level by 16%.
Changes will also affect the methodology for assigning a basic pension. If today everyone receives the basic pension payment equally regardless of length of service, from July 1, 2018 the basic pension will be calculated depending on the length of service.
