In anticipation of prazdnovanie of Independence day of RK in Almaty was opened a branch of independent living for disabled people older than 18 years with psychoneurological diseases.

The office can accommodate up to 20 people functioning at MPI "Center of rendering of special social services № 1".

Note, the city of Almaty became the first in the country where the project was launched through the public sector. In the current year from the local budget for these purposes is allocated more than 27 million tenge.

In addition, for the professional orientation of a recipient of services, on-site office organized training in sewing with their further employment.

The training was organized a sewing workshop social project "NURALAU". By the way, this is the only in Kazakhstan specialized manufacturer of tailored clothing for people with disabilities. The project took 1st place in 2017 at the Republican contest "the Best social projects implemented in Kazakhstan".

The development of a network of low-capacity homes for independent living will assess personal abilities and rehabilitative potential of each recipient of services and to assist in their further socialization in society.

Recall that in the framework of implementation of the Concept of further modernization of the social service system, to expand the availability of social services are required to optimize large homes and expand the network of small organizations.

However, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from July of the current year in the framework of the social contract project has already been carried out by 2 non-governmental organizations (PA "Psychoanalytical Association" and PA "Union of youth "RUKH").
