One of the main tasks of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan is to ensure the social and labor rights of citizens, create favorable conditions for the development of the trade union movement through the organization of social partnership, coordination of relationships with trade unions.
The activity of trade unions in Kazakhstan is regulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trade Unions" of June 27, 2014.
For today in the Republic of Kazakhstan there are 467 trade-union organizations. Of these, 3 are republican, 39 are sectoral, 22 are territorial unions of trade unions and 403 are local trade unions.
In order to develop the trade union movement in Kazakhstan, as well as to ensure their legitimate rights and freedoms, the Ministry has established a hotline for registration and trade union activities, which can be reached at the following numbers: +7 (7172) 74-35-11, +7 (7172) ) 74-28-52.
The contact structural division on registration and activity of trade unions is the Department of Labor and Social Partnership.
The creation of a telephone hotline is aimed at implementing the recommendations of the International Labor Organization on the application of Convention No. 87 on Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize of July 9, 1948.
