Memorandum on the ecological disposal of electronic and electrical equipment

The waste of electronic and electrical equipment contains such dangerous substances and compounds as cadmium, antimony, lead, mercury, which have a negative impact not only on the environment, but also on human health. Once in the human body, they stay there for a long time and begin to accumulate gradually in the liver, kidneys, bones, thyroid gland and can cause cancer.

Also in laser printers, toners are installed in a chemical composition that includes: compounds of carbon polymers, iron oxide, tin of organic compounds and inorganic additives, which studies show that cause headache, cough, fever, malaise.

In addition, when one finger battery is "incorrectly" recycled, 20 cubic meters of soil are poisoned or more than 400 liters of drinking water.

The management of trade networks Technodom, Alser, Ramstor provides places for collecting electrical equipment by placing eco-boxes and later recycled through specialized companies.

As waste is accepted: household appliances (televisions, tape recorders, electric toys, irons, energy-saving lamps, batteries, hairdryers, kitchen equipment, including refrigerators etc.), org. Technology (computers and components, cell phones, tablets, copiers, scanners, toners, etc.), mercury-containing waste (fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps, thermometers, etc.).

According to Article 301 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is forbidden to take some types of waste for landfilling: hazardous wastes that are explosive, corrosive, oxidizable, highly flammable or flammable in the conditions of the landfill; mercury-containing lamps and appliances; batteries lithium, lead-acid; electronic and electrical equipment.

Users of electronic and electrical equipment that has become unusable are prohibited from throwing it out to the collection point for unsorted municipal waste, i.e. in the garbage containers.

To reduce the possible negative impact on the environment and human health, due to the content of harmful substances in the electrical and electronic equipment, it is necessary to use the available waste collection points for electronic and electrical equipment for the recycling and processing of waste products produced by this equipment.

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to promote the ecological education of Kazakhstanis, expresses confidence in the proper utilization of electronic and electrical equipment and the consciousness of the inhabitants of your city.
