A bilateral meeting of the Ministers of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madina Abylkasymova and the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayeva was held within the framework of the regional conference on women’s issues in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed topical issues of cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of employment, social security, rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, etc.
As noted by M.E. Abylkasymova, taking into account the global digitalization processes taking place in the world, the issues of creating an electronic labor exchange and automating the registration of labor contracts become promising areas of cooperation in the social sphere.
“Today, Kazakhstan continues to modernize the pension and social insurance systems in order to ensure the protection of those categories of the population that today remain outside these systems. Given the changes in the labor market, it is important to take into account the new formats of employment and, accordingly, to work out new, more flexible forms of involving these people in the state social security systems. In this regard, the exchange of experience between our countries will be a useful and significant step towards these reforms, ”said Minister M. Abylkasymova.
Minister S. Babayev stressed the importance of concluding a joint memorandum of mutual cooperation, which will identify the main areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of labor and social relations.
“Our countries have something to learn from each other. At the same time, automation should stand behind all social services in the modern world. This will reduce the influence of the human factor on the provision of these services and, accordingly, make the process of providing them more transparent and efficient, ”the head of the foreign ministry stressed.
In addition, the Minister of Labor of Azerbaijan noted interest in Kazakhstan's experience in the field of employment. Today, work on an employment portal is underway in Azerbaijan. In this regard, as S. Babayev noted, the exchange of experience with the Kazakh side will be an opportunity to improve the efficiency of the work being done.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan expressed hope for the imminent visit of Kazakhstani colleagues to Azerbaijan to conclude a bilateral Memorandum.
